She has created and launched four successful companies in the past 7 years, founding her first start-up in 2003.
Prior to that, she had a successful career in sales and business development in the textile industry, bringing in new clients and generating sales of $20M.
She is a public speaker, serving often as a panelist providing community outreach and education on cultural topics.
She started ABC Link Language Services in 2003 as a part-time venture, and has grown it into a business with offices in Los Angeles and Washington DC.
Serving clients including law offices, companies, Turkish consulates, embassies and the US Immigration department,
Ms. Sonmez developed a profitable business model for virtual and in-person translation and interpretation services.
Her translator team allows ABC Link Language Services to provide services to clients everywhere.
In late 2008, Ms. Sonmez created and opened two world-class companies, Dynamic Adaptations and Student Adaptations, targeting niche markets for international travelers and students.
Student Adaptations offers relocation and budget concierge services for international students moving to the Greater Los Angeles area, and received 100% customer satisfaction in the first 6 months.
Ceylan has built strategic alliances with colleges here in the US and with overseas communities, as she expands her market.
Her other company, Dynamic Adaptations, offers boutique concierge services for international business travelers, medical patients, and recreational tourists.
Ceylan brings to this business extensive experience as a frequent traveler, a skilled problem solver, and motivated leader.
She is involved in every aspect of these businesses, and as the Owner and Operator, she provides superior customer service at every level.
Ms. Sonmez gained invaluable experience and honed her entrepreneurial skill set as a National Sales Representative for Bahariye (2005-09), a Turkish textile manufacturer.
While there, she launched one corporation and developed their client base from $2M to $20M in sales.
She hired and supervised national sales teams, fostered and maintained international relationships with clients, vendors, and retailers while simultaneously managing the wholesale showroom in Los Angeles.
Ceylan is a graduate of Koc University and UCLA Business Management Certificate Program.
She has been an Angelena since 2003 and travels often.
She is an active member of the Beach Cities Toastmasters, where she won Second Place honor for humorous speech in District C-2 in 2008.
She participates regularly in Turkish American cultural associations, and is a published poet and an amateur athlete.
She lives happily with her Maltese, Ponpon, in Southern California.
